Chapter 11 - Reform at LSTA?

Speakers

Hon. Martin R. Barash, United States Bankruptcy Judge (C.D. Cal.)
Elliot Ganz, General Counsel, Loan Syndications & Trading Association
Eric D. Goldberg , DLA Piper LLP (US)
Professor David C. Smith, UVA McIntire School of Commerce

Bankruptcy reform, what is it good for?  That question will be the focus of our panelists, who bring four very different perspectives to the inquiry. More specifically, the panel will discuss various reform proposals made in the final report of the American Bankruptcy Institute Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11, including the formal response by the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (or LSTA).  The discussion will occur against a backdrop of empirical research and data regarding the effect of secured credit on outcomes in bankruptcy cases.  Don't miss a program that will involve deep analysis of issues and potential reforms that go to the heart of the chapter 11 process.
